brite-View CinemaCube HD (720P) media player and BitTorrent downloader! (model # BV-5003) Review

Having own the WD HD TV player and Mediagate MG-450HD, I know the future is in media players where you can watch your entire collection of movies. Blu-Ray has not caught on as much as it was being pushed by manufacturers. That is partly due to people keeping DVDs due to the cheap price and not wanting to buy media all over again. But digital media downloads has really taken off. Like HD videos for iPods, Xbox 360, and PS3 downloads. So I have found the brite-view CinemaCube HD Media Player. The CineCube can download movies directly through BitTorrent.

Interface: The GUI is pretty basic. It’s pretty much as text based interface. Nothing too fancy but it also simple to use. I had no problem navigating the interface getting where I wanted to. It’s not the best looking interface but it works great.

Videos: The CinemaCube is beast when it comes to video formats allowing you to playback RM, RMVB, MP2, AVI, H.264, VOB, MOV, MKV, DivX, Xvid, WMV video formats. The only real knock is that it can only do 1280×720 HD(720p). So you won’t be able to 1080p, which is due to chipset limitation. The CinemaCube has an HDMI port and supports HD content up to 720p. It also has analog component and composite connections, S-Video and S/PDIF.

Audio: The CinemaCube does audio just as well as video. It can playback MP3, Real Audio, FLAC, AAC, OGG, and WAV.

JPG: And finally you can view pictures on your Plasma/LCD tv.

With built-in most popular bittorrent p2p file sharing engine, “CinemaCube” let you download media files on the Internet without having to turn your computers on. The excessive wear and tear on your PC hard drive and constant risk of virus and spyware infected content makes downloading using PC dangerous. Let “CinemaCube” do the heavy lifting of downloading and free your PC to do something else.

This is the feature that will sell this media player. Having the ability to download through bittorent without the PC is great. You will need 20GB of free space on the external drive and it must be formatted to either NTFS or EXT-3. First you must import Torrent seeds over to the external drive and then the built in torrent program will download them to the CinemaCube to your USB hard drive.

The Brite-View CinemaCube HD Media Player joins a crowd of other media players but it’s advance features like direct Bittorrent download makes it unique enough to stand out in the crowd. Plus it only costs $90 so it’s affordable too and cheaper than the WD HD TV player by 10 bucks.

SodaStream Fountain Jet Starter Kit Review

I am a big soda drinker so when I found the SodaStream Fountain Jet Starter Kit, I had to review it. This is the only home machine I found of this kind that can make Soda. Now I can cut back at going to the supermarket to pickup a 24 pack of Coca-Cola or other carbonated drinks. I have all need at home.

Included is
Fountain Jet soda maker
110 Liter carbonator gas cylinder
2 1 liter bottles with caps
User manual

The SodaStream Fountain Jet Starter retails for $149.99 but is on sale for just under 100 bucks. It includes everything minus the Soda Mixes and water. The mixes are only 4 to 5 bucks and you can make a lot from just one mix.

There is over 25 regular, diet, energy and caffeine-free flavors.

Design: The machine is lightweight made mostly of plastic and would fit with most Kitchen décor. I think it can hold up to years of use without much wear.

Function: Boy was I surprised just how simple this product was to use. I opened the box. Then I removed the back paneling which revealed a second bottle. I removed the bottle and then inserted the carbonator gas cartridge after I removed the cap. Once properly screwed on I reattach the back paneling. Half way their already.

Ok now we take one of the liter bottles and fill it up to the line. You can use filter water, tap water, or bottle water. Screw the liter bottle to the front of the unit. And now push on the top button until you hear a buzz noise. Then push it a couple of times more to hear the buzz each time. The more you push the fizzier it will be though you should limit it so you can get the most of the cartridge.

Now you can remove the bottle and take your favorite flavored mix and then add it to the water. I used diet cola. Mix it up a bit. And then let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes and drink up your Home made soda creation.

Conclusion: This is a fantastic product for anyone who takes many trips to the supermarket to buy soda. You can save money and go green at the same time. Also there are the diet flavors that taste as good as the non diet ones. Plus the mixes do not have High fructose corn syrup which is bad for you. Overall a great purchase for you or as a gift for the soda drinker.

What I like about the Bodyguardz is that it’s easy to apply the full body film protectors. And the Bodyguardz have no distortions when you use it.

Included are two front and back protectors so if you may a mistake you have an extra one too. Plus the lifetime replacement isnt’ bad either.

Including protecting your gadgets, the Bodyguardz are a great way to maintain resale value. I bet people would buy an iPod that was full protected by a full body protector than one that was used and abused without one. Plus with gaming being apart of the App Store, the protector should maintain protecting the screen from scratching.

The BodyGuardz Clear Protection for Apple iPod touch 2G is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to protect their Touch. It provides maximum protection and has a lifetime of replacements. There is no better choice than BodyGuardz! They are simply the best full body protectors on the market today.

Aerial7 Matador Joker Headphones Review

I got a chance to review Aerial7 Matador Joker Headphones. They are the new headphones in their street line of headphones. The Aerial7 is unique in their design and colors. The colors are eye catching and the cans product good bass.

The entire line of headphones are geared toward DJ/Rave scene. And they definitely present this in their looks. You either going to love the design or hate it. They do have black/gray headphones that are less striking. But you can get black headphones from any manufacturer. These headphones are for those who want to stand out in a crowd.

These bright colored headphones are very nice. With good bass, good sound, and good looks. With the Matador you can use these with the iPhone as it has a built in mic. Or use the mic with the iPod Touch along with Skype.

Overall I would recommend these to those who want stylish yet bright-colored designed headphones. They are solid for it’s price tag. If your looking for an entry level DJ headphones with some panache then take a look at the Aerial7 Matador.

I first saw the Pocket Retro Game Emulator a while back but it was so popular that it sold out quickly at So now in present time I was able to finally get a hold of the little micro sized handheld. This little game handheld has been getting a lot of attention online from retro gamers. In fact there are several websites dedicated to this handheld game system. It is also known as the Dingoo A320 in China.

The Pocket Retro Game Emulator has a designed that looks like a Gameboy micro with a bit of Sony PSP style. What I like about it is that it can fit in a pocket, something the PSP can’t do unless you wear cargo pants. So this thing you can carry around and play hundreds of older titles that we grew up on. This is also great for kids to enjoy when games were less violent and more about the challenge.

There are still a lot of gamers who like to play Sonic or Super Mario Bros. And this is what the Pocket Retro Game Emulator is geared towards. The handheld officially emulates GBA, NES, NeoGeo, SNES, CPS1/CPS2, and Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. Unofficially there are even more emulators from the community who support the pocket game player. I have tested several of my favorite games and while it’s not perfect it’s darn good. Also there is several 3D and 2D games included out of box. Most of the built in games are pretty fun and time wasters.

Not only is this a game player but it’s also an MP3 and Video player. The internal 4GB of memory can be filled with your favorite songs and movies. It even has TV out for an even better experience.

The Pocket Retro Game Emulator is just a fantastic item that everyone should get. For a Benjamin you get a handheld where you can play for hours and hours of retro gaming. Its cool design, cheap price, and tons of uses makes it a great buy. This should be on everyone’s early Christmas list. Hurry before it sells out again!

CRKT Zilla-Tool Jr. Review

Reviewed by K.C. Kim

I recently had an interest in multi-tools. But I wasn’t look for an ordinary Leatherman. I was looking for something unique. And that’s when I stumbled upon the Columbia River Knife and Tool Zilla Jr. There is also a bigger Zilla version.

The Zilla Jr. got its name for looking like a little Godzilla type multi-tool. The Zilla Jr has a built in pliers that is built into the body instead of a butterfly type like most multi-tools. There is a release switch that opens it up.

The Zilla Jr. in my opinion is the perfect size, not too small or too big. The multi-tool is also very light and easy to carry with the included case. The tool is made of metal and a hard plastic and feels like it’s built to last.

With the pliers on one end the blade knife is on the other. The knife blade is 2.25 inches long and should be up to most tasks.

Finally on the blade end you will find a bit driver with two bits (one X and one straight).

Overall this is a great multi-tool that will do a good job with most projects. Its unique design and shape make it a one of a kind. And for the price it’s should be on everyone’s list to buy. This is a multi-tool I plan on carrying anywhere and everywhere.

The Oberon Design Kindle 2 Case Review

Reviewed by K.C. Kim
Product Page HERE

I recently purchased an Amazon Kindle2 case and was interested in getting a good case. But since this is a new product there are very few choices when it comes to cases. I have tried my share of cases but all seem poorly made or didn’t look good. Pretty much they are tons of sleeve cases on Ebay from China but nothing of note.

Now I come upon the Oberon Design Kindle 2 Case. The website has it setup for you to choose many designs. You can also choose from holding the Kindle 2 by Velcro or corners. I chose corners. Then I found the case that best suited me. The Dragonfly Pond is the one I chose. I did like the designs that wrap around but in the end the Dragonfly Pond sky blue was my choice.

The corner straps do a good job of holding the Amazon Kindle 2 in case. Even if you drop the case or shake the case the Kindle is note going to come out. The case is rather thick so it provides protection. And you can even add a light attachment. The cover button is made of pewter. Also there are a large side pockets & a small pocket for I.D. or cards.

The Oberon Design Kindle 2 Case is the best case for the Amazon Kindle 2 I have used. It offers a unique look with handcrafted materials. The case is a tad expensive but it’s well worth it. And many have already purchased this case. When you buy a $360 Kindle, $75 is not bad for a quality case that will last the lifetime of the unit. Hands down get this case if want a premium case that is well made and provides maximum protection.
