CableJive iStubz Review

istubz01
The regular iPod sync cable included with all iPods and iPhones are for universal use. That’s why the cord is longer. But the iStubz is for those who don’t need that long of a cord. Especially for those who have Macbook and laptops who don’t want a cluttered desk.

istubz02
Price is $7.95 for the 7cm and $8.95 for the 22cm cable. You can choose to get black or white versions which are very nice. I match my black 2nd Gen iPod Touch with the black 7cm iStub is a perfect combination.

istubz03
iStubz is a great product and at a cheap price you could buy four or five for the whole family. It keeps you less cluttered. And great for laptop users. I don’t need that long usb sync cable. So the iStubz is a great accessory to get with my iPod or iPhone.

Intro: Finally we are seeing some decent cases for netbooks come out. The Solo Tech Netbook Mini Instant-Messenger laptop bag is just one of the new bags worth mentioning. It not like the other sleeve cases that are on the market. Rather it’s a shrunk down messenger bag for Netbooks smaller than 11 inches. It can work for most Netbooks on the market. And the big sell is for travelers due to it being TSA approved.

solotech03
Design: The Messenger bag looks almost identical to larger laptop bags. Except it’s shrunken down to netbook sizes. I could be mistaken for camera case since it’s so small. My HP 2140 10.2” netbooks fits perfectly in the bag. The interior is well cushioned and soft so it’s less likely that it will scratch the netbook while moving the netbook in and out of the case. Also you will find a quality case with great materials it’s very well made and built to protect your netbook.

Function: The Solo Tech case comes with a removable, adjustable shoulder strap. There is a compartment for the netbook up to 11 inches. With the opposite side having two pockets and two additional sections for accessories. Hidden underneath to one side is a zippered slot for ac adapter and cord.

solotech07
Conclusion: The minute I got the Solo Tech Messenger bag I knew it would be the perfect case to hold my HP 2140 netbook. It has room to carry everything with me. As well as being great for travel with its small size and TSA approval to get past security checks fast. It’s by far the best netbook case I have reviewed yet.

Samsung SE-S084B/RSBN External Slim USB DVD-Writer Review

writemaster01
Intro: I was looking for a slim external drive for my laptop. There are a lot of generic ones on sites like EBay. But you get what you pay for and most of the time the no name brands are pretty poor. Then I noticed that Samsung has a slim DVD Writer. And when given a chance to review it I jumped on it.

writemaster04
Design: The SE-S084 is sleek black so it’s goes with everything. The build quality is pretty good with mostly plastic structure. It small enough to pair well with any netbook. This is the main reason I wanted it was to use it with my HP 2140. At 19mm(H)x141mm(W)x157mm(D) it’s the perfect size for a small netbook.

writemaster06
writemaster07
Functions: The unit is powered by USB which is a major plus if you use it with a laptop. No ac adapter to carry around. It burns an amazing amount of formats from CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-Ram, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, and DVD+RW. Speeds are also pretty good in this unit. My laptop had no problem recognizing the drive. It includes Nero to burn all of your software. The unit uses manual ejecting to save on battery life of your laptop. And you can eject even when the unit is off which is a nice feature.

writemaster05
Conclusion: Samsung makes great products and the SE-S084 is an excellent drive for your netbook or laptop. Is small enough for travel and rugged enough to last a long time. This would be my first purchase if I were buying a laptop that doesn’t have a built in drive.

PokerMouse V2 Review

http://www.poker-mouse.com/

Intro: I review a lot of products and come across many sites through blogs such as Engadget and Gizmodo. Here I saw this mouse and thought I give it a try. The Pokermouse V2 is a pistol grip style mouse. It’s a bit different than any other mouse I’ve come across.

wera02
Design: Made of plastic the mouse feels good in hand. It says proudly made in China which I found kind of funny. But what isn’t made in China these days. It came with a usb cable to charge the internal battery. Receive to go wireless. A simple manual and of course the Pokermouse. Overall the quality as good as my Microsoft PC mouse. It feels good in hand and should last a good while. According the manual the battery should last at least 3 years.

wera03
Function: First grab the usb cable and the Pokermouse and connect it to the laptop or PC. A red light will show up this means it’s charging. When it turns green then your mouse is fully charged. Next connect the receiver to an open usb port. Now you have to pair the two together. There is a button on the bottom of the Pokermouse and a button on the receiver. Once I press both buttons at the same time a couple of seconds later the mouse cursor moves and I’m all set. I used the mouse online and to play some Yahoo free games online. And found that the mouse works remarkably well. Very similar to a real mouse. Except you could be lying in bed and player various games online. Something you can’t do with your wired PC mouse. The trackball works pretty similar to the built in trackpad in my HP 2140. It’s not perfect but better than expected.

Conclusion: This is an excellent mouse for those who like to surf the web or play online games. For the slacker it’s perfect. The ability to get unwired and move around the mouse is great. It sort of the interactive feel of the Wii controller. For someone like me who is constantly on the computer this mouse is great while I can browse a site from a distance.

TrendyDigital MaxGuard eReader Jacket TM for Amazon2 Kindle Review

tdmax02
Intro: Ebook Readers were the next big thing for a while now. But it was Amazon Kindle that has put it on the map. Now with the Kindle 2 you know that Ebook Readers are here to stay. At $359 the Kindle 2 is not cheap. And that is the reason it took me awhile to purchase one. Now that I have one I love it. Only problem is keeping my new gadget nice and new. This is the reason I was looking for a quality case for my new Kindle2. Not just anyone will do. Some cases are too large, others have quality issues, and some do more harm than good. Today I review the Trendy MaxGuard eReader Jacket

tdmax03
Design: The TrendyDigital MaxGuard eReader Jacket comes in black with white stitching. The stitching of the leather case is perfect with zero imperfections. It has a TrendyDigital logo stitch near the top of the case. It is a rather attractive case with a slim profile. Perfect for those who like to travel. Protect and carry your Kindle2 with very little added weight.

Function: The MaxGuard eReader Jacket opens right to left. Most cases open left to right but it’s not that big of a deal. The Amazon Kindle2 fits perfectly with SurFit compartment. The interior has a soft cushion so no scratching of the kindle while it’s in there.

tdmax04
Conclusion: That are still very few Kindle2 cases out there so the selection is few. But out of all the ones currently out in the market this one stand out from crowd. The quality, materials, great fit, size, and price make it my pick for your Kindle2. If you own a Kindle2, you owe it to yourself to protect it with the best case in the market.
