Intro: The first thing I did after purchasing the Nokia N95 was searching on the net for a good case to protect it from damage. After a quick search on Google. And discussing cases available for the Nokia N95 on various forums. The most high demand and talk about case was by Noreve. So the question is will it live up to the hype. Read my review to find out.

Design: This is the first Noreve case that I have used. And by far the best quality leather and craftsmanship I’ve seen. Now I know why Noreve is put in such high regard. Unlike other cases that have a generic fit. The Nokia N95 fits perfectly inside the Noreve case with no pulling or tugging required. Theirs support on top, sides, and bottom. And even hanging the case upside will not lodge the phone out of the case. Another plus is that the case makes it easy to remove the phone when needed very simply by lifting it out.

Features: The case uses a magnetic snap closure to make sure it stays put.

Also features two MicroSD card slots.

On the sides you will see that all the buttons are still usable inside the case. As well as the 5MP camera on the back of the phone.

Included is a removable Metal belt clip that can rotate 360 degrees

Conclusion: If you want the best then there is no question that you need to go get the Noreve Traditional leather case for Nokia N95. It superior to any previous case I reviewed. The combination of fit, high quality of leather, functions, and style make this a sure bet. Intro: Having previously reviewed the Latte Slim 11b I had high expectations coming in. And soon relieve to find yet another solid phone by Latte Communications. The Latte Boom music phone is a rock solid slider that has tons of features you will love.

Packaging: Presentation is very important especially in the retail space. The box that it comes with is really nice. Better than some other phones I own.

Design: The phone has two Amplified Speakers on the face of the unit next to the LCD that gives it a sort of Mini Boom Box look to it. Its shape is remarkably small and is about the size of a 1st gen Ipod Shuffle. Some may call this a bit of thick phone. But it can easily fit into a shirt or pants pocket. The slider motion has a nice snap to it. And the keypad while a bit cramped has a nice tactile feel to it (Even better keypad than the Nokia N95). Overall good design, small, and feels solid and expensive.

Features:

Music: Being a music phone you would want to know the quality of audio. And overall the audio quality is excellent. I would rate this at the quality of dedicated DAPs. And with the two built in speakers you can share your music with your friends. The speakers are very loud. Probably the loudest I heard on a phone.

Video: Two music videos were preloaded. And I was impressed with the video quality even if it was on a 1.5-inch screen. Flawless smooth playback with no jitters. I don’t see anyone watching a full movie on this but for music videos, short films, and animated clips it would work well.

Sound Recorder – Record audio clips

Camera/Camcorder: When you slide the phone open you will find the 1.3 MP camera. Good enough pics when your on the go. And can’t carry your camera. The cam also doubles as a video recorder. You can record video up to the size of the memory card.

Phone: Just like the previous Latte Slim 11b I had no issues with phone call quality on the Latte Boom. Using Cingular service in my area the signal was good the calls were crystal clear. Other phone features include WAP Browser for accessing the Internet and SMS and MMS messaging.

Phone Book: In phonebook you can add an entry with name, number, home number, company name, email address, office number, fax number, birthday, associate picture, associate video, associate sound, caller group,

Game: Included is three games – Jet, Monkey and Puzzle

Themes: Choose from three themes, which change the background color from Orange, Blue and Grey

Stopwatch: Also included is a simple stopwatch

Organizer: Calendar, To Do List, Alarm and World Clock

Extras: Some more features are a Calculator, Unit Converter, Currency Converter and Health

Conclusion: Latte Communications is on roll first with the Latte Slim 11b slim phone and now with the Latte Boom Slider Music Phone they add yet another excellent phone to their portfolio. The Latte Boom has a ton of features pack in to a small form factor. If your looking for an alternative to the LG Chocolate or Nokia n95 music phones look no further than the Latte Boom.

Intro: I had a chance to review eholster newest holster case for the Sony PSP. This is a unique way to carrying around your gadgets instead of say a backpack when you’re on the go. The eholster comes in two styles. One with a leather pouch or nylon pouch which I review here. Eholster also has a wide selection of modular holster systems for cell phone cases, PDA cases, smartphone cases, handheld PC cases, PSP cases, and digital camera cases.

Instructions: The case comes with a nice black and white manual that guides you through the process of attaching the strap to the pouch. The manual can get a bit confusing. But this particular case it was not difficult to figure out. You hang the pouch either on the right or left portion depending on which side you want to carrying it on. I actually prefer to have the pouch hang vertically. So I attached the strap on each side.

Design: Unlike some of eholster cases. The Nylon Psp case doesn’t look much different from a normal carrying case. So there is no worries that this might be confused for a real holster. And I can see anyone wearing this thing, not just geeks. The materials and stitching are perfect and I would say that it’s worth the price. You get what you pay for as they say and this case exudes a high level of quality and craftsmanship.

Function: The Equilibrium watch has a unique way of telling time. There is three discs, the large one for hour (represented by the big red dot), the middle one for minutes (represented by the small red dot), and the small disc for seconds.

Conclusion: I’m not a big watch person but there something about the watches that Project-US sells. They have unique designs and feel like a work of art on your wrist. If you’re in the market for a nice watch that’s not the same old design then look no further than the “Equilibrium Watch”.

Intro: Having used my share of stock earphones that come with mp3 players we all know how of poor quality these phones are. This is why buying a good pair of earphones is essential. There is a huge gap between the highend models and the lowend. But those who are in the middle like me and most consumers there is a new market of consumer friendly models that offer good price ($100-$150 range) while still not compromising on sound quality. Comfort: With the amount of ear sleeves included you should have no problem finding the perfect fit to your ears.

Performance: The Shure SE210s provides crisp, clear sound with a good amount of bass. The earphones perform well across a wide variety of music from Classical to Rock to Pop. Noise isolation works very well to block most background noise. I found this much better than noise cancellation technology which often times distorts the audio sound.

What’s in the box: Of all the TV Tuners I reviewed this one comes with the most complete amount of accessories.

System Requirements: This is a must! Please know the system requirements before you buy it. Otherwise you might be disappointed if it doesn’t work for you. Also this device will only work with Windows XP Media Center or Windows Vista Media Center.

Intro: Having reviewed several of the new breed of tuners available I was very interested in seeing what the AVerTV Hybrid Ultra USB had to offer.

Installation: Documentation is a bit on the short side but let’s get up and running. First connect the AVerTV Hybrid Ultra USB to your PC or laptop. The device has two usb connectors. You may have to use both to power device. In my case this was true. “Found New Hardware Wizard” dialog box will show up. And press cancel. Next insert software CD. Install the driver. Now that your setup go to Microsoft Media Center.

Remote: The AVerTV Hybrid comes with a full size remote that works with Media Center without any software or setup needed. Simply install the included Double AA batteries connect the IR Receiver and your ready to go.

Performance: By far the best quality video of any TV tuner I have ever reviewed. None of the blockiness or jerkiness of other tuners on the market. It also is not a resource hog as well, which is a big bonus. Even with my laptop hitting the minimum requirements the AVerTV hybrid perform well. I would imagine it would be even better on the latest and greatest PC’s.

Record: The device has the usual PVR recording ability with hardware encoding in mpeg2. You can schedule a time when you want to record live television. Or you can manual record by simply pressing the red record button. I recorded a short 30 seconds of live TV and was impressed with the quality. I would say very close to near dvd quality recording.

FM Radio: One of nifty features this device has FM Radio. So when you’re not watching television then you can listen to FM Radio. Included is a FM Radio Antenna. Reception was excellent!

Conclusion: The AVerTV Hybrid Ultra USB performs well at producing good quality video of digital and analog channels. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who has Windows XP Media Center or Windows Vista Media Center. It’s simple to use and Media Center pretty much guides you through the way. If you want a external usb2.0 tuner that can view both both analog (NTSC) and digital (ATSC) HD OTA broadcasts, has hardware encoding in mpeg2, and has fm radio to boot then take a look at the AVerTV Hybrid Ultra USB.

Intro: Anything I can put on my keychain in my opinion comes in very handy. I use my Inka keychain pen everyday when I go to the post office to write off an address label. Another keychain device I was looking for is a small keychain knife since I open boxes daily for review units.

Design & Function: Small, compact, the Buck Metro LED Knife is a go anywhere tool. It has a metal lanyard hole so you can attach this to your keychain. When closed it has an oval shape. When you need the knife you just take two fingers and open the knife. There is a metal bracket that slide over to lock the knife from folding back in. You simply slide it to the side and you can close the knife again. The Buck Metro LED Knife also comes with a bright LED light that uses two CR-1616 lithium batteries. This works out great at night when I opening my car or house door.

Conclusion: Very convenient is how I described the Buck Metro LED Knife. Everyone is in the situation at some time when they need to open a package or box and need a knife. And with the addition of the LED light for emergency blackouts or at night when you can’t see makes the Buck Metro LED Knife a good value and essential for carrying around.

Sure the N800 comes with a pouch but it’s far from ideal and very basic. Fortunately there are third party manufactures who produce cases for the N800 such as PDAIR who provides excellent cases with a solid reputation of quality.

Design & Features: Pdair makes the best leather cases around. I found other cases from other manufactures end up having wrong dimensions and ending up pulling and tugging the electronic in. This is not the case with Pdair case. It’s just the perfect fit. And the white stitching contrast to the black leather nicely. The case uses magnetic studs for easy opening and closing of the case. Also included are two slots for your memory cards. The only negative thing I have to say is that the built in stand on the N800 is not useable in the case.

Conclusion: The Leather Case for Nokia N800 Book Type is one of the best cases available for the N800. Not only does it protect the N800 it maintains most functions while in the case and has adds quite of bit of style and class to the N800.
